						  Originated by
									Ran Lydell of
Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York, this non-registered cultivar is
of unidentified parentage. It is a miniature size (4½ inches
high by 13 inches wide) hosta with green foliage that
has a white marginal variegation and streaks on some
leaves. It bears medium purple flowers from deep purple
buds from late July into August on scapes 10 to 15
						inches tall.
						According to

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The foliage...is attractive, but it certainly can be
grown for flower effect alone. The dense clusters of
medium purple flowers offer a nice contrast to the dark
						purple scapes."

				The
Hosta Journal, (2006 Vol. 37 No. 2), contained an
						article in which several

hostaphiles were asked to give a brief list of their
						favorite
hosta flowers. This plant was included in that list.
