This fast growing hosta grows to a small size about 7 inches high by 14 inches wide. It is medium green foliage with irregular, yellow medial variegation. Purple flowers bloom from mid-July into August. 'Blinkie' is a sport of H. 'Amber Tiara'.

The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack (2010) says: "Takes sun in cooler climates...it is therefore suitable for the woodland garden."
