This cultivar is the result of
				crossing H. 'Gala' × an
unnamed sibling plant. It was registered in 1980 by
Paul Aden of New York. The medium size
(10 inches high by 18 inches wide) plant has heavily corrugated,
				streaked foliage which is often
							unstable. (The one in the
picture above appears to have r everted to the all blue-green
form.) Lavender flowers bloom in August followed by a few viable
							seeds. According to

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...proven to be a valuable
breeding plant, often yielding variegated seedlings."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
				Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Among the first of the streaky-leaved hostas
							introduced...Some leaves are predominantly
blue-green, others are more conspicuously streaked."
