						 This cultivar was registered in 1988 by 
				Mark Zilis of Illinois and Doug Lohman 
							of Ohio. It is a 
							tissue culture sport of 
							H. plantaginea  
							which grows 
							into a large size hosta about 22 inches in height and 
				a spread of 44 inches wide. It produces fragrant, white flowers 
				in August. The specimen shown above appears 
				to have reverted to the species type. 'Fragrant Flame' is 
				supposed to have a white center with green streaking.
