						 Described
as having a 'Fortunei' background, this cultivar was registered by
The American Hosta Society in 1986 on behalf of the originators,
				Gus Krossa of Michigan
						and

						Alex Summers of Delaware .
This medium size (17 inches high by 45 inches wide) mound has
dark green foliage with white marginal variegation. The leaves that are moderately
corrugated and slightly wavy. Pale lavender flowers which are
bunched near the top of the scape bloom from late July into August
but it does not set seeds.

						  According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...maintains its distinction among hostas due to its upturned, white margins...For a number of
years, specimens of 'Gloriosa' in some gardens incorrectly bore
				the name H. rhodeifolia albo-marginata."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
				Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Although the variegation is usually uniform, it
occasionally throws white streaks toward the midrib. Vigorous, easy to
grow...Leaves have a distinctly upturned stance when mature. The raceme is
bunched toward the top of the scape."

						 "Plant's
margin is uniform and very narrow. Smaller than most other
white-margined forms of H. 'Fortunei', but some authors do not
believe it is related to the latter."
