  A seedling of
				H. sieboldii 'Kabitan',
				this cultivar was introduced by
Bob Kuk of Kuk's Forest in Ohio in 1986.
It is a
small size (7-9 inches high by 20 inches wide) hosta which has yellow
to light green (viridescent) leaves that are not variegated. The
pale purple, striped, funnel shaped flowers are borne on 12 inch scapes
				in July. According to
				The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009) "It is almost hard to believe that 'Golden Spades'
came out of 'Kabitan' because of its oval-shaped leaves and
				overall appearance."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
				Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Achieves the best leaf color in high, filtered
shade, the color being brightest early in the season."
