This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. One is registered and, therefore, the "official" version of H. 'Green Ripples' while the other is a non-registered plants and need to be renamed to avoid further confusion.

A seedling of H. 'Fortunei Gigantea', this cultivar was originated by Frances Williams of Massachusetts and registered on her behalf by her daughter, Connie Williams, in 1986. The large size plant grows to about 21 inches in height with a spread of around 43 inches. Its green foliage is heavily rippled, moderately corrugated and ovate in shape. Near white flowers bloom from late June into July.

Mark Zilis observed another plant with this name. It was larger than the Williams plant and had leaves that were not as wavy. The bottom of the leaves were covered with a greyish bloom.
