This hybrid of H. 'Blue Frost' × H. 'Fortunei Gigantea' was originated by Elizabeth Nesmith of Fairmount Gardens in Massachusetts and was registered on her behalf by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1996. It forms a medium size plant of dark green foliage. The leaves are heavily corrugated and have irregular ripples along the margins.
