This cultivar was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 1990 as a hybrid of H. 'Gold Drop' × H. 'Green Piecrust'. It forms a medium size (12-17 inches high by 30 inches wide) mound of slightly wavy foliage. Lavender flowers appear from late June into July on scapes up to 24 inches tall.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Increases rapidly and easily exceeds its registered dimensions...A hosta with nice movement to its leaves."
