Paul Aden of New York registered this cultivar in 1982 as a hybrid of
							H. montana 'Aureomarginata' × H. 'Big Sam'. This giant size (37
inches high) plant has deeply lobed, slightly rippled leaves that
come to a thin tip. It has pale lavender flowers. According to

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Over the years, there has been some debate about
				the difference between 'Mikado',
							H. montana
macrophylla, and other similar cultivars. Whatever the
case, 'Mikado' and the others all make worthy additions to any
				shade garden."
