This cultivar was registered in 1988 by
Mark Zilis of Illinois and Doug Lohman of
Ohio. It is a hybrid of H. 'Sum and Substance' × a
H. venusta
seedling which grows into a medium size hosta about 13 inches in height and 35 inches
in width. The leaves are very broadly ovate shaped and slightly
wavy. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

						 According to

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar came from the same seed pod as 'Golden
Decade',
'Leather Sheen', 'Little Razor', and 'Courtesy'."

Of the five plants registered from seeds that all came from one seedpod, 3
('Leather Sheen', 'Little Razor' and 'New Wave') were jointly registered by Doug
Lohman and Mark Zilis. The other 2 ('Golden Decade' and 'Courtesy') were
registered solely by Mark Zilis.
