						 This plant was registered by
Nancy Krul of Belle Gardens in Michigan 1994. It is a cross between H. 'William Lachman' × H. montana. It forms a medium size (16 inches high) mound of foliage with a creamy, white center
and green margin. The leaves are ovate shaped and slightly wavy. From late July to August, it develops bright purple flowers on
creamy yellow scapes followed by viable seeds.

				  According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The vivid contrast between the
dark green leaf margin and the creamy yellow center of
'Peppermint Ice' always draws my attention. The mid-season show
of purple flowers also combines nicely with the brightly
				variegated foliage."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
				Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Among the most colorful hostas of this type. Needs
dividing every three to four years to retain the wide central variegation with
the attractive streaking...noticeably ivory-white scapes and the strongly
white-margined leafy bracts."
