Listed here are hosta cultivars by their state or country of origin. Determining which cultivar is "from" which state was not always easy. Usually, we based the listing on the home state of the person who originated the cultivar. In other cases, we only had the name of the person who registered the plant without knowing if he or she was also the originator. Anyway, it will give you an idea of states and countries where new hostas have been developed.
