						 According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The name 'Haku Chu Man' was
applied to the white-centered form of 'Kabitan' many years ago
				in
Japan... The American Hosta Society registered the name 'Haku-chu-han'
in 1986... Watanabe (1985, p. 90), though, noted that the name 'Haku
				Chu Han' was incorrect...'Shiro
Kabitan' is the correct name for the white centered sport of
				'Kabitan'."

  An article about
H. 'Haku-chu-han' by Warren I. Pollock in
The Hosta Journal (1985 Vol. 16) states that, "This
Japanese name translates to "Half of leaf white in the center."..."
