						  This is the "gold-leaved mother
				plant of H. 'Midwest Magic'.
				It was introduced by
Mark Zilis of Illinois and registered by
Peter Ruh of Ohio in 2002. The
large size mound is 20 inches tall
with a width of 45 inches. It bears pale lavender flowers in
				July. According to

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...presents the unusual case of the mother plant of a
sport being named after the sport. We originally identified
'Midwest Magic' as a sport out of a plant that had been sent to
us as 'Zounds', but was not. Once we realized the mistake, we
named this gold-leaved plant 'Prairie Glow'."
