						2022,
this fast growing cultivar is a seedling of
						[(H. 'Smiley Face' × H.
						'Beet
						Salad') × (H. 'Peacock Strut' × H.
						'Beet
						Salad')] ×
						["Solberg
						Seedling 48/49Best" × (H. 'Sun Shower'
						× H. 'Designer
Genes')]  (**For clarity sake, the hostas in
Red are the background of the unnamed pod parent
						and the ones in Green
are the background of the unnamed pollen parent of this cultivar.) It is a medium size hosta
about 14 inches high by 26 inches wide with yellow
foliage. The leaves are slightly rippled, slightly shiny
on top and relatively flat overall. The petioles are
purple and the color extends up 1/3 of the way into the
leaf blade. Pale purple flowers bloom from July into
August on purplish red scapes 30 to 32 inches tall. It
sets seeds in reddish purple pods but their viability
was unknown at the time of registration. The registration
materials state: "Yellow foliage in spring with reddish
purple petioles whose color extends one-third into leaf
						area...becomes light green later."
						 Since
they have exactly the same complicated background, we
would suspect that this hosta is a sibling of H.
						'Peach Brandy'...but
						we don't know for sure.
